Some bingo sites when they launch take a tentative step into the world of online bingo – not Wink Bingo! They climbed to the top of the highest diving board and dive bombed into the mix in attempt to shake up established brands like Gala, Foxy and Jackpotjoy. However they kind of lost their way a little bit and even flirted with some sauciness which didn’t quite pay off. Now things seem to be looking up for them once again.

Wink Bingo

Newbie Room Bingo For 3 Days

As you’d expect, over five years the welcome offer from Wink Bingo has changed a number of times. At the moment new players can receive £40 on their first deposit. Deposit £10 and you’ll collect a £30 bonus plus a £10 shopping voucher. Wagering terms and conditions do apply.

If you want to play some free bingo without depositing at Wink then you can gain access to the Newbie Room for three days after registration. It’s open from 7am to 10pm and there’s a new free game every 10 minutes. You’ll not be playing for big money mind and any wins you get will not be withdrawable until you’ve deposited. Still it’s a useful way to give the site a look over and try out the 888/Cassava software for yourself.

Free For All

Like most Cassava sites, Wink Bingo offers players 75 ball, 5 Line 75 Ball and 90 ball games. There are also progressive jackpots available too. Many of these games are accessible on mobile as well as PC although Wink don’t seem to push their mobile product too much – it does make us wonder whether it’s that popular. Still the option is there and no download or app is needed to access the mobile version of the site.

Free bingo has played an important part at Wink and as well as the newbie room there’s plenty of other freebies to enjoy. There’s the Free For All room where you can play for £1 to £2 in bingo bonus funds per game all day and every day. Depositors will find themselves with access to more freebies whilst every Sunday there’s a free game exclusively for players who access Wink via mobile.

Wink For Promotions

Promotions and exclusives is where Wink has perhaps changed the most over the years. There was a time when they had some of the biggest prizes including the chance to win a brand new car every New Year’s Day. That has sadly changed and now the offers and promos are not as prevalent as they once were. That’s not to say they don’t exist – there’s still the regular Booty Call and Hidden Treasure games every Wednesday and Sunday plus daily jackpots. There are specials associated with seasonal events (Easter, Christmas, Wink’s Birthday) but perhaps nothing quite as much as Costa or Foxy.

Wink also used to be very good for regular bonus codes – often issuing several each weekend. They again still do the odd code but you may have to pop on to Facebook for details. Note also that to get the 50% reload bonus as standard you will need a code – it’s no longer automatic.

When we wrote our first review of Wink we questioned if they could sustain their charge and had they done too much too soon. In many respects that was quite a foresight as the answer in our view was yes. The key is perhaps that did get sold and so changes had to happen. The dalliance with The Dream Boys and naughty bingo did the brand no favours either. Still it’s nice to see them back on more sensible ground. It’s a nice site with decent games and enough to keep players interested.
