Hot House Bingo Review
Usually when a new variation of bingo comes along it’s simply a rehash of what we’ve seen before. Thankfully Gala Bingo have come up with something that genuinely mixes up the 90 ball game. Hot House Bingo launched in September 2018 and offers a big twist on the popular game. There are no one or two line winners and all 90 balls are called. Winners are created by calling a full house in three of of five different prize bands. Call house in the other two – and you win nothing!
How To Play Hot House Bingo
Hot House Bingo is played on a typical 15 numbered 90 ball bingo card. The numbers are called as usual, but they don’t stop when a player gets a full house. As all 90 balls will be called all players will eventually get a full house. Provided you call house in a prize band then you’ll share the pot. There are five bands starting with calls 1 to 68. This is the red zone and offers 40% of the prize pot. The purple pot represents calls 69 to 80 and if you “win” in this section then you’ll win nothing.
50% of the prize pot is up for grabs in the green zone (calls 81 to 84). It’s back to nothing for calls 85 to 89 (orange) whilst call house on the 90th ball and you’ll share 10% of the pot. The final call is represented by the blue zone. This may all sound a tad confusing, but once you’ve played a few times then it all makes a lot of sense.
Three Tickets Per Player
One thing that’s worth noting about Hot House Bingo is that all players have the same number of cards. The minimum/maximum number of tickets you can purchase is three. As cards cost from 15p each this does mean that it can cost a few pennies to play. This isn’t ideal for penny players. However, we think it’s worth playing simply for the excitement that Hot House brings to proceedings. For the first part of the game you’re hoping to get a full house. Then things change because you don’t want your numbers to come up. At least not until you’re back in the green zone when there’s 50% of the pot up for grabs. Emotions twist again because you’ll be hoping to hit a full house on the final call. Gala have done a great job in adding excitement where many have failed before.
Goodbye Hot House
Sadly Hot House Bingo didn’t last too long at Gala Bingo. We suspect that the game was just a little bit too confusing for players and didn’t attract the numbers required to make it exciting. The RTP wasn’t that great either. If you were a fan then games like Potions and Bingo 60 at Tombola might be of interest.
