Playing bingo online could make you rich! Very rich if you won one of the million pound (or million dollar) games offered by a number of online bingo sites. But where are these games? How do you play them? And most importantly what’s the catch! First of all, let’s take a look at the various millionaire bingo games that are available.
Self Made Millionaire
The Self Made Millionaire game takes place every month at Moon Bingo and across it’s sister sites such as Polo and Robin Hood. As far as we know the game always plays on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Tickets cost £1 and it’s a 75 ball game. To win a million you need to call house in 1-24 calls. The prize falls to £100K for calls between 25 and 29. A guaranteed prize of £1000 is offered for calling house in 35 balls or more. If you do win the top prize then you’ll get paid the winnings over a 15 year period.
This is a relatively new game that originally launched on Buzz Bingo but can now also be played on Jumpman sites. Bingo Millions by Mutuel Play is a lottery style game. You have a bingo card as usual but the numbers continue to be called up to a maximum number of calls. This process potentially makes more winners. The aim of Bingo Millions is to try and get one line, two lines or full house within a selected range of calls. Get a full house in 15 to 35 calls on the 90 ball game and you win a progressive jackpot that stands at over £1.5million. Bingo Millions 90 can be played at a number of sites but Buzz exclusively has 75 and 80 ball games. Occasionally a Mega Millions game with a £10million prize is offered.
Can You Win a Million at Bingo?
The chances of winning a millionaire bingo game within a specific number of calls is as you’d expect quite low. Studies have been done to calculate the probability of calling bingo within specific calls for both 75 ball and 90 ball games. According to Wizard of Odds the chances of a bingo player getting a coverall within 35 calls, or even 40 calls, in a 75 ball game is at least 1 in 10 million! In a 90 ball game the Wizard of Odds suggest that the chances of getting a full house are 1 in 14099900 (very similar odds to winning the National Lottery).
Should I Play Millionaire Bingo Games?
Playing bingo to win a million is as the odds show a lot like playing The National Lottery. There is a chance of winning but it could be you! Million pound (or million dollar) games are used as promotions to get you into the bingo rooms, join in the fun and play more than just the big money game. Note though that the games can be expensive (£1 a game) and often require a minimum number of cards. You may find that playing cheaper cards more often, whilst not giving you the chance to become a millionaire, may yield more wins and a better bingo return.
Has Anyone Won A Million Playing These Games?
As far as we’re aware, despite these games running for several years, no one has become a bingo millionaire!
