Keno & Slingo
Bingo isn’t the only number based game of chance online. There are alternatives to the likes of 75 and 90 ball bingo. For example you can find Keno, Lottery and Slingo games at many casino and bingo brands. Read on to discover a little bit more about these games.
Keno is a numbers game that is very popular in the United States. It is a bingo style lottery game – The objective is to guess which numbers, from 1 to 80, will be randomly selected by the Keno machine. Numbers are then randomly generated and if you match all the numbers you’ll be a Keno Jackpot winner. There are a wide range of instant win style games to play online either at casinos or game sites. However, Keno hasn’t taken off in The UK and most certainly it’s not challenged the dominance of online bingo.
Bingo Millions – Lotto Meets Bingo
Hoping to fair better than Keno is the new Bingo Millions that can be played at Buzz or Jumpman brands. This is a lotto meets bingo style game with a huge progressive jackpot. In a traditional bingo game the numbers are drawn until a player calls a full house. In Bingo Millions the format is slightly different. No matter what happens a fixed number of calls are made and participants have to call one line, two lines or a full house in a certain number of calls to win a prize.
This is done on a sliding jackpot scale and to win the big prize you’ll need to be extremely lucky as full house needs to be called within a handful of number calls. The exciting part about Bingo Millions is that each game can have multiple winners for each of 1L, 2L, or FH. There are 90 ball and 80 ball versions of the game and there’s a progressive jackpot of over £1.5million to be won. We understand that Mutuel Play, the developers of Bingo Millions, intend to launch additional games in the future.
Slingo – Slots Meets Bingo
A similar game to Bingo Millions was launched by Gala Bingo. In Hot House Bingo all 90 balls are called and prizes awarded depending which coloured zone (based on number of calls) you completed your bingo card. We liked the premise of this game but surprisingly the room only lasted a short time. We’re not sure whether it’ll return. Finally there’s Slingo, a slots meets bingo game that’s become increasingly popular. In Slingo numbers are called in a slot machine style. If you the numbers called match those on your card then they are marked off on a 5×5 grid. The aim of the game is to create lines (Slingos) in order to win prizes.
There are a number of different versions of Slingo. These include Deal Or No Deal, Britain’s Got Talent, Rainbow Riches and The Chase. More recently, Gaming Realms, the company behind Slingo have launched a Monopoly version and it’s the best yet. The premise of each game is pretty much the same but there are some variations. For example you may get less turns, offered different prizes, or have unlimited extra wagers. By this we mean that at the end of each Slingo game you can “wager on” for a price. A multi player Slingo Boom room did exist for a short time. However this didn’t catch on and the rooms closed down. Hopefully one day it’ll return.
