Moon Bingo is the flagship brand in the United Bingo group (Robin Hood, Ted, Gossip, Sugar, Polo etc). It launched in July 2009 and since then has had a few incarnations. The original site theme was the actual moon and even had bingo players in space suits bouncing around as part of a TV campaign. Over time, the site has developed a more dreamy astro theme. Players are invited to ‘Dream Big, Win Bigger’. Recently (2019) they updated their welcome offer to new players.

Moon Bingo Review

If you choose to join Moon Bingo then for a £10 first deposit you’ll receive a 200% bingo bonus. In addition you’ll also collect 20 spins on the Starburst slot. Wagering terms and conditions apply. These are x4 for the bingo bonus and x85 for wins from the spins. The deposit balance can be withdrawn at any time but you may lose any bonuses. Withdrawal terms also apply.

Free Moon Bingo

Sweetening the deal is the fact that you can enjoy three days of free bingo at Moon, with no deposit needed. In the past this would have been a highlight, but this offer is now standard at pretty much every brand that’s powered by Dragonfish. Depositors have access to even more free games but these are dependent on the amount of your deposits. Do check out the promotions page in the lobby area of the site or the chat box as quite often there are extra reload bonuses available.

Inside the lobby, you’ll find a handful of bingo rooms and access to over 300 slots. There are 75 and 90 ball rooms including Penny Express and Gimme More. These are joined by a 52 ball playing card themed game called Suits Up. Note that some of these rooms are networked with Moon’s sister sites. Although this site is powered by Dragonfish, it’s network is independent of the Dragonfish Network of sites (e.g. Bingo Idol, Bingo Fabulous, Bubble Bonus Bingo, Robin Hood etc).

Moon Bingo Promotions

Joining the rooms are a number of jackpot games including Mystery Jackpot, £777 Nightly Lucky Jackpot, £250 1p Daily Jackpot and Self Made Millionaire. Do note that many of the jackpots offered by Moon – and it’s sister sites like Robin Hood and Gossip – are usually sliding jackpots. Joining these are progressive 75 ball and 90 ball jackpots plus over 300 slots. Popular slots include Eyecon’s Piggy Payout, Monopoly, Jack In The Box, Spectra, Jurassic Giants and, of course, Fluffy Favourites.

Promotions, aside from the jackpots mentioned above, aren’t that prevalent at Moon these days. The bonus wheel that offered players the chance to win coins daily looks to have closed. However there’s now a Prize Wheel which offers gifts once you’ve hit certain levels. Details of this can be found in the promotions section within the lobby. Spin the wheel and you could win bonuses, spins or coins (Moon’s bonus currency). Penny players might want to check out the ‘Win Cards’ tab. For just 1p a ticket you could win tickets to guaranteed cash jackpot games.

Our Verdict

When Moon launched we anticipated that it would hit the same heights as Foxy, Wink and Costa – all of which at the time used the same software platform (Foxy has since moved to Cozy). To an extent Moon haven’t quite hit the same level as Wink fbut they are still a decent site to play. There are plenty of jackpots and bonuses available – but do watch out for those wagering terms and the guaranteed prizes versus headline prizes. If you prefer just playing slots then you may want to look at Moon Games instead.

Overall though this is a good choice for Dragonfish players. One thing to really look out for are offers and bonuses offered by support. Login to Moon and within a few minutes you’ll start getting messages. If you like bonuses – and don’t mind the wagering aspects – then this can be quite fruitful.
