Vernons Bingo has now closed. This review remains for reference only.

Vernons Bingo are not exactly new as it’s the former Littlewoods brand. Littlewoods Bingo was one of the best sites on the struggling St Minver Network, but as well as losing it’s name it also moved to a new platform – Virtue Fusion. An early TV campaign that involved a very cute pug dog called Stan has helped establish Vernons in the bingo community.

Vernons Bingo Review

Vernons Bingo Welcome Bonus

New players to the site are welcomed with a nice 500% bonus. Deposit and spend £5 and you’ll receive £25 extra to play. The offer is quite reasonable as a number of other brands only award bonuses on deposits of £10 or more. By the way, the fiver needs to be wagered within the first 14 days for the bonus to be awarded. Wagering terms do apply and for this particular offer it’s set at x4. As ever, Penny’s advice is check out the small print.

Vernons Bingo Rooms

A lot of sites offer free bingo rooms to newbies, but few have their one open for so long as Vernons – or so you’re led to believe. After you’ve made a second deposit on the site you’ll have access to a special newbie room. The site tells you that you’ll enjoy “one month of free bingo”. Actually that’s not entirely true because you get four Tuesday nights of free bingo between 8pm and 10pm.

As Vernons Bingo is part of the Virtue Fusion Network you will find the usual variations of bingo and mix of slots/instants. You can play 90 ball and 75 ball games plus access network rooms for Deal Or No Deal and Rainbow Riches Bingo. There are lots of promos including free bingo, BOGOF, 1TG and 2TG, Roll Ons and of course the regular BingoLinx jackpots. Look out too for regular promos involving slots and instants. Among the top games are Bouncy Balls, Clover Rollover, Wolf Run, Fluffy Favourites, Kitty Glitter and Big Top Tombola.

Bingo Party

We of course love exclusives so it’s nice to see that Vernons are active – although only just. For depositors they throw an exclusive bingo party in the private Penthouse room every Wednesday between 7pm and 9pm. In the mix are free games, BOGOFs and guaranteed jackpots. They did use to run a few prize promos back in the day and have even given away cuddly Pugs, but this aspect of Vernons Bingo has diminished in recent times.

If you do like chances to win prizes then do make sure you follow Vernons via Facebook. They do like to run a regular giveaway with samll bingo bonus prizes. It’s not a big prize, but with only a few hundred likers there’s actually a good chance of winning!

More Stan The Pug Please

We had little issue over the old Littlewoods Bingo site and it’s sad that the brand is no longer with us. They had some nice touches too including community prize draws and updates. A lot of that kind of thing has now gone – even the bright green and yellow site has long gone. The platform from St Minver to Virtue Fusion is perhaps the biggest difference between the old and the new. However Littlewoods were the big fish on their network and perhaps didn’t have to punch too high to look good – Vernons however have bigger brands like William Hill, Gala and Sky to contend with and should do more.

We do think there are better Playtech brands out there, but none of them have got Stan and he’s a good enough reason for a visit.
